This class is for you if you need time and space to focus and crave a bit of feedback on your projects. Your instructor enjoys sharing ideas along the way and supportive critiques for further exploration. All painting media are welcome.
Symbolic Mark Making on Porcelain

For this workshop you’ll use gorgeous, warm white porcelain to create a series of vessels (or simple sculptural forms) that reflect your
own unique visual language.

Natural Encounters

Discover ways to ‘see’ into the natural world through sketches, observation, memory and word. We will begin by making a simple but elegant hand crafted journal and then capture the essence of the objects we have collected on site.
Etched Jewelry & Metalsmithing
Instructor: Junko Iijima
Students will learn basic etching skills, bead like forms and constructing box like forms using copper and brass. Basic skills such as sawing, soldering, bezel settings, jump rings, cold forging
and simple chain making will be introduced.
Tiny Art Quilts - Collaging Stitched Stories
Instructor: Maude May
Spend the week learning about collage, slow stitching, sourcing used and new fabrics, photo transfer and more. Instructor will provide the following materials: various threads and fabrics, embroidery hoops, photo transfer papers, inkjet printer, pins, needles,
handouts and chocolate!
