Call for Teachers Summer 2025

For over 50 years, the Creative Arts Community has offered residential arts workshops at the Menucha Retreat Center in the Columbia Gorge. These week-long classes take place during the first two weeks of August. We are searching for artists/writers/musicians who love to teach and enjoy the idea of an immersive experience working with small classes of adult students in a spectacularly beautiful setting. It's like “art camp” for grownups with meals and lodging, evening presentations, and engaging conversation. We also create a Pop-Up Gallery on site where you can sell your work.

We pay a stipend and provide room and board. We would love to consider your proposal for a week-long workshop (5 days, six hours of teaching each day) in visual art, writing, music or other arts related topics. We have offered courses in drawing and  painting in all media, book arts, mosaic, sculpture and assemblage, fiber arts, ceramics, collage and mixed media, the graphic novel, art metals, business for artists, ukulele and guitar and creative writing. We welcome your ideas!

Application deadline to teach workshops in 2025 is October 1, 2024.

If you are interested in joining us as an instructor please fill it out this google form
