About the Workshop

Texture is pastel’s Super Power! And Menucha has its fair share of blinding sunlight, fast moving dramatic shadows & dazzling reflections and sunsets. Even though it is a dry medium, pastel is a perfect medium to find the drama and excitement of our local landscapes. All skill levels are welcome & will benefit from this class. Daily exercises will help students understand the medium including the qualities of different brands and when and where to use hard or soft. This is key to creating the desired texture! Guided painting time for your own vision will be enriched by photgraphs, sketches and plein air components.
