CALL FOR ARTS TEACHERS SUMMER 2024
For over 50 years, the Creative Arts Community has offered residential arts workshops at the Menucha Retreat Center in the Columbia Gorge. These week-long classes take place during the first two weeks of August. We are searching for artists/writers/musicians who love to teach and enjoy the idea of an immersive experience working with small classes of adult students in a spectacularly beautiful setting. It's like “art camp” for grownups with meals and lodging, evening presentations, and engaging conversation. We also create a Pop-Up Gallery on site where you can sell your work. We pay a stipend and provide room and board.
We would love to consider your proposal for a week-long workshop (5 days, six hours of teaching each day) in visual art, writing, music or other arts related topics. We have offered courses in drawing & painting in all media, book arts, mosaic, sculpture & assemblage, fiber arts, ceramics, collage and mixed media, the graphic novel, art metals, business for artists, ukulele & guitar and creative writing. We welcome your ideas.
Applications deadline to teach workshops in 2024 is October 1, 2023.
