CHECK-IN TIMES BOTH WEEKS:
Sunday 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
When unloading, please do not block other arriving campers.
There is an informal mix and mingle party each Sunday 4:30-5:30 at Wright Hall.
There is also an official welcome /orientation session after dinner Sunday in Wright Hall's main lounge.
CHECK-OUT TIME BOTH WEEKS:
You must be out of your room & studio on Saturday 11:00 am.
Hours are 9-12 noon and 1-4pm Monday through Friday.
Studios are open 24 hours but instructors are off-duty at 4pm.
Your class supply list is on your class page on our website.
Meals are served family style at 8am,12 noon & 6pm.
Alternate meals are available by pre-arrangement.
Most buildings have refrigerators & coffee/tea makers.
You will receive your room assignment when you check in.
Bring your own towels, pillow and bedding to fit a twin bed,or sleeping bag with sheet to cover mattress.
Hangers are also handy. Bedding & towels may also be rented for $10.00 per week.
Bedding and towels are included in private & semi-private room rates.
The grounds include a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, wooded & paved trails and gorge viewpoints.
There is a grand piano & we encourage you to bring your own musical instruments as well.
There is a coin operated washer & dryer. Soap may be purchased in the Menucha gift shop.
Free presentations by resident artists-instructors are scheduled every evening after dinner. Guests are welcome.
Thursday is "HAT" night. Bring a festive or entertaining hat or create one on site. More of an explanation will be given at camp.
On Friday evening there is an informal "Walkabout" to view each studio's work.
There are a limited number of dinner guest slots. Reservations & payment must be made upon arrival.
Day visitors must be arranged through the coordinators.
No overnight guests are allowed.
CAC has a small gallery that sells an exciting collection of artwork by students& instructors.
If you wish to submit artwork, you may download an inventory sheet from our website's STORE page.
Bring the filled out form with your work when you come to register.
The store's 30% commission goes to the scholarship & general fund.
We ask that you not sell items outside the store.
The Menucha Gift Store has snack bars, souvenirs, toothpaste etc.
There is a small convenience store 1/2 mile from the estate.
STUFF YOU'LL WISH YOU HAD:
Mosquito repellant, flashlight, camera/film, ear plugs,laundry soap, alarm clock,sun block, games, tennis racquet, art books, fan,
rain gear, towels, soap, swim suit, book light, bedding, pillow, clothes hangers, musical instrument.
Think layers: warm jacket/sweater. Days are often very warm but evenings and mornings can be cool..or wet.
